Its obligation is established by the Book, the Sunnah and consensus of the \u2018Ummah.<\/p>\n<p>As for the Book, then there is His statement, exalted is He:<\/p>\n<p><strong>{Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day}<\/strong>[at-Tawbah:29]<\/p>\n<p>-and other verses regarding the command to fight the Disbelievers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>The Sunnah says: <em><strong>\u201cI was commanded to fight the people until they say \u201cThere is no god except Allah\u201d.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> The Prophet SAWS also said: <em><strong>\u201cAl-Jih\u0101d is an obligation from the time Allah, exalted is He, sent me until the Day of Resurrection- until a group from my \u2018Ummah fights the Dajj\u0101l.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Ummah has consensus on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[Ibn Mawd\u016bd al-Mawsil\u012b (d.683H), <em>Al-Ikhtiy\u0101r li-Ta`l\u012bl il-Mukht\u0101r<\/em> 4\/117]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cAnd al-Jih\u0101d is a clear obligation whose denier is declared a Disbeliever.
