My friends wife died. She wasnt a Muslim and she was pregnant. Where should she be buried?
A When a non-Muslim pregnant with a Muslim’s child passes away, she should be buried alone, apart from both Muslims and non-Muslims. If this is not possible, she should be buried amongst the Muslims. When she is placed in the grave, she should be placed on her left side with her back towards the qiblah so that the baby is on his right facing the qiblah.
It is a sunna to visit to console anyone touched by the death, before burial and after, for up to three days. The proper phrase to use when the deceased is a non-Muslim is A‘zam Allāhu ajrak, wa ahsin ‘azā’ak, without the supplication one adds when the deceased is a Muslim.
May Allah reward your friend and grant him patience.
And Allah knows best.
